Weddings, Baptisms,
Memorial Services
and Other Functions

Historic St. Matthew's Chapel is available from May through October for weddings, baptisms, and memorial services. Both Episcopalians and those of other faiths are welcome. For Non-Episcopal weddings we can suggest local clergy. Clergy of other recognized & bonafide Protestant denominations may officiate with proper identification furnished, and accepted by us. Episcopal couples usually arrange for the customary pre-marital study with their home clergy. We can offer local Episcopal clergy who would then perform the ceremony if your clergy does not participate. All Clergy from out of state must obtain a N.H. license to perform in this state. Episcopal clergy also must obtain permission from the Bishop of the Diocese of N.H. The building may also be rented for other functions such as musical events.

One of the most photographed churches in New England, St. Matthew's is noted for its simple, dignified architecture. The white-shingled exterior, set among fields of lupine in June, or among brilliant foliage in autumn, hints subtly at the character of the interior. The rustic beams and trusses of the ceiling, together with the stained glass windows depicting mountain scenes characteristic of the area, create the ideal setting for your special occasion.

The 15 rows of pews will accommodate 120-150 persons. Parking is available for approximately 28 cars.
